JAWLINE RECONSTRUCTION
Having a well-defined jawline can enhance the overall aesthetic of your face. A poorly formed jawline can reduce the definition of your face and sometimes even repress other facial features. Jawline reconstruction procedures vary in suitability according to our cosmetic training model’s personal requirements and specific jawline concerns.
One common jawline concern is due to loss of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production in our bodies due to ageing. This can cause fat pads to appear in our face, which results in a jawline with reduced contouring. Fortunately, there are several ways to treat sagging jowls and remove the appearance of a double chin.
Botulinum Toxins
Using botulinum toxin such as Botox or Dysport can be an effective way to improve facial contouring and signs of ageing. Procedures such as the Nefertiti Lift, or jowl reduction involves relaxing muscles in the lower face and neck that tend to drag your face downwards, which allows the opposing muscles to improve their lift. Similarly, it can be used to reduce square jaws, distinctly separating the jaw from the neck, adding to slimness and contouring. This process takes approximately an hour and results can last anywhere from 3 months to 1 year depending on your body’s response to the treatment. Read more about Botulinum toxins here.
Threads
This widely-used minimally invasive treatment helps to lift any loose facial skin, resulting in a more slim and well-defined jawline. Promoting natural collagen and elastin growth, this procedure results in stronger, more supple skin for each patient. The procedure takes around 45 minutes, and can be performed under local anaesthesia. As a model, you will receive one of the two main types of threads that are approved for the purpose of lifting facial tissue, NovaThreads or Silhouette InstaLift. Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers can be used to define jowls, replace lost facial volume or improve the definition and contouring of the chin and jawline. All that said you can expect dermal fillers to last anywhere 6- 18 months. All our clients use high end, pharmaceutical grade fillers that are often reserved for their highest paying clients.
